Blogging as a place of judgment, getting feedback like yours is the kind of reward that a lot of us hold our breaths for days after the "Publish" Button is pressed. Not only because it makes this comment box less lonely and dejected, but also because of the other ideas that it starts here and there. <BR/><BR/><B>Labor for Acknowledgement.</B><BR/>Secondly, in contrast to those who evade insecurity by keeping their mouths busy, those who are secure, with their mouths shut, which part of their bodies is busiest, do you think? <BR/><BR/>A friend once told me that the more work we do, the less need there is to validate our existence in form of words. And when you have so much of that work validating your existence, the need for nods and acknowledgements in simply falls back on the priority list, being pushed back by the inherent satisfaction and sanctity in maintaining labour.<BR/><BR/><B> Acknowledgement in Blogging</B>So the trick question is, how do we achieve that blogging-wise, when the raw material of our work takes form in even more words? How do you validate word-embodied-thoughts without more using words as point of return? I'll leave the answers to you.<BR/><BR/><B>How Can I Sound Impossibly Optimistic About Blogging?</B><BR/>You know what? I writing this on my better days, with everything around me suppressing the depressive gloom that usually is cast upon us as soon as the sun sets. Which is my explanation why I could sound remotely optimistic about our craft and creativity. Usually I'm as good as a dead bird, frozen on the tin roof of oblivion. It's always so much easier to fall back and just be depressed rather than pulling the probably-worthless-effort-to-act-otherwise, isn't it? <BR/><BR/>But then again, which part of me do I want to employ most for today? Which part of my thoughts? I don't know when it's going to happen that an epiphany is going to hit me, so I might as well just wait it up, with my laptop eternally charged and ready, my mouth minimized for food reception and a trip to the bathroom, just for luck, before I sit here, and labour through this comment response, for you.<BR/><BR/>I guess I won't be posting today, since replying to you has pretty much taken up most of that writing time. It's easiest when a writer can stand at a cool distance away and just watch the blog gather comments or dust. Additionally, if Writing were a fire, Comments are the logs that feed it. And no writer can stand on fire and not burn. My love-hate relationship with public blogging is rooted in this, because I will always crave a readership as a writer, and I will always need someone to nod in agreement with my self-appointed awesomeness.<BR/><BR/>On #4:<BR/>I never thought of it this way, but perhaps you're absolutely right. I'm insecure with my material possessions, therefore I feel a need to always re-inforce my selfishness.
