Are we not friends anymore?
No, we still are.
Are you going to stop loving me?
No, I still do.
We didn’t have sex when we dated, are we going to start now?
In your dreams, Hon.
So what’s the difference between dating and not? Just the relationship status?

That was pleasant. Maybe some folks are too old and tired for drama. Age does that to people, you know; teach you thing or two about letting go and healing. Older folks are too forgetful to expect permanence and remember too well that all wounds heal. Some folks are just lucky enough to have romance outweighed with age.
A breakup is not the end of future involvements, not the end of respect and kindness for each other. A breakup can be an acknowledgment of unconditional love, whatever is the relationship status.

Old people what? Tell that to my parents and their super messy divorce.
How I wish it were hun *hug*
Soumz, I know it can. *hugs you back*
Cookie, We're surounded with negativity. Whether from parents, friends, or ourselves. Hence my question, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT? Are we just going to think that all breakups are awful? Are we going to stop loving fearing the possibility of a breakup? Or would you take the risk, and learn something new every time?
Happiness is your call to make.
Breakups? If we didn't have them, how can we learn important lessons in human relationships? It's not that people should end things in just a single argument or fight, they should exhaust all efforts to see if they could save it. If not, then, of course, part ways. A lot of us just don't have the patience to save things like that anymore.
A lot of young people think that relationships just happen. Period. They don't, really. After the affirmation comes the tedious work of making things "work out". Keeping relationships, romantic or otherwise, takes work if you want them to last.
But if a breakup is in the air, then get it done and over with. Up to the parties if they choose to be still on speaking terms.
I agree.
Just don't tell me this till about 3 months after the breakup. XD
