Best of Luck

A man came to the Prophet complaining: “I’ve lost my fortunes, and my body is like a secondhand car, running on unoriginal spare parts.”

“Dude, you think that’s bad luck? Wait until I tell you what good luck is,” chuckled the Prophet.

“Getting the 2012 edition, in upgrades?”

“Ha, wrong blog! Good luck is not in wealth and health; it’s not a brand new Lamborghini. Good luck is going through shit like yours and worse, then be granted the patience and endurance to stand firm.”

[Because the Lord isn’t Santa Claus, see? He’ll answer you in ways that He sees would fit you best.]

…isn’t that a priceless thought…

Why is it that often the hard part of life seems to be the recognition it essentially is senseless. Doesn't that denial spoil opportunities to enjoy it to the full?

Life is essentially how you view it. If you think it's all S**T, then S**T it is; if you think that the hardships are in facts opportunities to benefit from, then maybe things won't be as bad as what they seem. The Instant this-and-that world of today suffers a lot because people don't have as much patience as they used to.

Colson,
I think that in a lot of ways, we're designed to avoid unpleasant experiences. Tagging an experience as pleasant and unpleasant can be biological or learned. Either ways, it's the higher processes that sets one's understanding to the world, from another. Don't you think?

Coral,
Yeah, man, it's all in perception, right?

Majix,
Who'd said this: "If you wanna be happy, then BE." - Must've read it on one of the smiling faces on Soumz's "Donate a Smile Project". (still can't get over it!)

ALRIS,
Terima kasih atas komentar dan kunjungannya.
